The differences between Bikini & Brazilian Waxing
Have you ever gone to book a wax online, but got overwhelmed by all the different types of waxing services being offered?
You’re not alone. Across the US, Canada, the UK, and Europe, different names are used to describe the same service. It can be confusing as a client to try to make sense of exactly what means what.
Here’s what you can expect when booking with us.
Bikini Line = Exactly that
When you book a Bikini Line Wax, the hair is only removed from what would lie outside a bathing suit.
This service includes any hair in the leg creases up to a hand’s length distance down the thigh. In other words, if you lay your hand flat on your thigh up in your leg crease, any hair under your hand would get removed. If you want more hair removed on your thighs, make sure you select the Inner Thigh Add-On when booking!
This service does not remove any hair from the labia, or the backside (between the cheeks). That’s a big part of the reason why this is a great service for anyone who is new to waxing and wants to give it a try before committing to a Brazilian. A bikini line wax includes taking a strip off the top if you want, so go ahead and wear the low rise bottoms.
Full Bikini
For us, this is an option in between our Bikini Line and Brazilian waxing services. This service takes off more hair than a simple Bikini Line, but not as much as a Brazilian, so it’s a great middle ground for those who don’t want to take it all off.
A Full Bikini Wax service removes more hair from the front side, and can include the lower labia as well as the hair surrounding the vaginal opening. This service leaves a large triangle, square, or rectangle on the front side (just let us know which shape you prefer) and does not include the backside (between the cheeks).
You’re removing hair from WHERE?
A Brazilian wax leaves nothing behind!
For those who want to go completely bare, the service that removes all pubic hair from the front as well as the backside (between the cheeks and around the anus only – full cheeks require a Full Butt Add-On).
This service is also often referred to as a Hollywood, a Brazilian Bikini, or a Full Brazilian.
